Peacekeepers of Kyrgyzstan guarding strategic object of Almaty - TPP-2

Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2022. / Kabar /. The peacekeeping military contingent of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan is carrying out a peacekeeping mission in Kazakhstan. In particular, Kyrgyz servicemen are guarding an important strategic facility in Almaty - TPP-2, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic reported Peacekeepers of Kyrgyzstan carry out peacekeeping activities on the territory of the neighboring republic on the basis of the decision of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and in accordance with Article 4 of the Collective Security Treaty of May 15, 1992. The main task of the peacekeeping forces of the CSTO member states is the protection and defense of especially important and strategic facilities for the period of their short-term stay in Kazakhstan. A peacekeeping military contingent of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic left for Kazakhstan on Jan. 7 in the amount of 150 people, including experienced officers and contract servicemen, as well as 8 units of armored vehicles and 12 units of motor vehicles.
