Parliament approves Zhaparov as PM after President Jeenbekov’s rejection to sign decree

Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. The deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh unanimously approved the structure, composition and program of Sadyr Zhaparov's Government.
MPs are attending meeting, which is held at the Ala-Archa state residence.
New composition of the Government:
Prime Minister – Sadyr Zhaparov;
First Deputy PM - Artem Novikov;
Deputy PM – Ravshan Sabirov;
Deputy PM – Maksat Mamytkanov;
Deputy PM –Aida Ismailova (unchanged);
Head of the Government’s Office, minister – Baktybek Amanbayev;
Minister of Economy – Sanzhar Mukanbetov (unchanged);
Minister of Finance – Kyyalbek Mukashev;
Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation – Erkinbek Choduyev (unchanged);
Minister of Transport and Roads – Bakyt Berdaliyev;
Minister of Justice – Marat Dzhamankulov (unchanged);
Minister of Foreign Affairs – Ruslan Kazakbayev;
Minister of Internal Affairs – Usen Niyazbekov;
Minister of Emergency Situations – Bobek Azhikeyev;

On Oct. 10 at an extraordinary meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh deputies elected Sadyr Zhaparov as prime minister. However, President of the country Sooronbay Jeenbekov returned the document to the parliament and stated that appointment of the head of government should not cause questions concerning legitimacy.
