Pakistani MFA briefed on current domestic political situation in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 23, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Pakistan Erik Beishembiyev informed Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan Safdar Hayat about the events and current domestic political situation in the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the ambassador handed over to Safdar Hayat a text of the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic dated Oct. 16, 2020, and also briefed on events that took place and the current domestic political situation in the republic, the formation of a new government and the assignment of powers of acting President of the Kyrgyz Republic to Prime Minister Sadyr Zhaparov. "The procedure of transfer of power in the country has passed peacefully in accordance with the norms of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, and all state and administrative bodies work in a regular mode,” Ambassador Beishembiyev said. Besides, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. It was noted that Kyrgyzstan remains fully committed to all its international obligations and strict implementation of all previously signed bilateral and multilateral treaties and agreements.
