Osh may become permanent location for Bollywood Films - Indian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan

Osh, Bishkek, March 12, 2021. / Kabar /. First Vice Mayor of Osh city Zamir Yusupov met with Ambassador of India to the Kyrgyz Republic Alok Amitabh Dimri.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of developing bilateral cooperation in various promising areas. In his welcoming speech, Yusupov noted the close ties between the two peoples and stressed that the Mayor's Office of Osh is always ready to support joint projects and programs for the benefit of the townspeople.
The Indian ambassador stressed that the city of Osh is one of the most interesting cities for the implementation of joint social and cultural projects and festivals.
"I really love the city of Osh, this is my fifth visit here. This is a city that attracts with its attitude, I feel like mine here. We are ready to contribute to the development of the city, including in the socio-cultural sphere. The unique nature of southern Kyrgyzstan, mountainous landscapes and meadows, lakes and wonderful weather conditions combined with nomadic culture can become an excellent set for Bollywood films, music videos. The action adventure “Torbaaz”, which is very popular in India, was filmed in Kyrgyzstan," the ambassador said.
The ambassador said that in the educational sphere, within the framework of the ITEC technical exchange program, the Indian side is ready to support promising young people with educational projects. "400-500 young people from the city of Osh applied for this program last year," Dimri said.
In turn, Yusupov stressed that the Osh Mayor's Office is ready to support all initiatives aimed at developing the city. "The city of Osh has always been open for the implementation of fruitful projects and programs that contribute to the development of all spheres of the city. We are ready to consider projects to attract projects of the Indian film industry to the city of Osh," Yusupov summed up.
