Ministry of Health in talks with Russia on supply of medicines to Kyrgyzstan against COVID-19

Bishkek, July 10, 2020 / Kabar /. The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic is discussing with Russia the possibility of delivery of medicines from coronavirus to Kyrgyzstan, head of the public health care department of the Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova told. She said that last week a delegation from Russia arrived in Kyrgyzstan, headed by deputy chairman of Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing ), together with representatives of Scientific Research Institute named after Bakulev. “The question was raised about Avifavir. There was aur expert advisory group of doctors. The Ministry of Health is discussing this issue with Russia,” she said. Russia developed the Avifavir drug, which treats COVID-19. The medicine has already begun to be delivered to Kazakhstan.
