Bishkek, April 27, 2021 . / Kabar / . A mass vaccination against COVID-19 coronavirus infection is taking place in Kyrgyzstan.
Director of one of the capital’s Family Medicine Centers Asel Tenizbayeva noted people are coming actively to get the vaccine.
"We began the vaccination campaign on March 29 with the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm, and now we also received the Russian vaccine Sputnik V. Elderly over 65 with chronic diseases are the first to be vaccinated,” she said.
Tenizbaeva also added that if a person has had COVID-19, vaccination is carried out at the discretion of an attending physician.
"If there are concurrent disease, it is advisable to receive the vaccine. Vaccination is carried out on a voluntary basis. Those who have been vaccinated are observed for another 3 days. So far, we have not recorded any complaints,” the doctor said.
