Leaders of border regions of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan sign protocol on cooperation

Osh, March 19, 2021 . / Kabar / . Governor of Kyrgyzstan’s Batken Oblast Omurbek Suvanaliyev met on March 17-18 with Chairman of Sughd Region of Tajikistan Rajabboy Ahmadzoda and heads of law enforcement agencies of two provinces in Guliston city, Tajikistan. The meeting discussed a number of topics, such as speeding up the settlement of border issues between Batken Oblast and Sughd Region, ensuring public security in the region, strengthening the unity of the two peoples and improving cooperation between the two provinces. The meeting resulted in signing a 10-point protocol on inter-oblast cooperation. The sides expressed hope for further intensification of inter-oblast cooperation and resolution of existing problems through dialogue.
