Kyrgyzstan, Russia discuss cooperation in education

Bishkek, March 11, 2021 . / Kabar /. The city of Bishkek hosted on Thursday a meeting of Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nadira Dzhusupbekova and First Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Dmitry Glushko.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Education Ministry said that the meeting was held as a result of agreements reached during the talks of Kyrgyz and Russian presidents held on Feb. 25 this year.
The meeting discussed topical areas of joint work in the field of education, which will contribute to improving the quality of education of students, as well as improving the skills of teachers in academic subjects.
The sides noted the need to improve partnership between Russia and Russian-language schools of Kyrgyzstan. Currently, there are 29 teachers of Russian language working in Osh city, the interest in continuing work in this direction was expressed.
"The issue of possible use of Russian educational platforms in the subjects of natural sciences and physics and mathematics with a further translation into the Kyrgyz language has already been discussed earlier. I think we can reach certain agreements on this issue," Dzhusupbekova noted.
The deputy ministers also discussed cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Academy of Education in the development of the State Educational Standard for general school education, which forms the subject standards, curricula aimed at implementing the STEM program.
