Kyrgyzstan reports 538 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths

Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported on Wednesday 538 new COVID-19 cases. The tally of infections in the country made 57,276 since the pandemic. The Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 said that among the new cases 139 cases are registered in Bishkek, 23 in Osh, Chui oblast - 40, Osh oblast - 52, Talas oblast - 25, Naryn oblast - 17, Issyk-Kul oblast - 31, Jalal-Abad oblast - 86, Batken oblast - 125. The headquarters also said that 5 medical workers tested positive over the past day, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 3,602. It has reported the recovery of 414 more patients, raising the total recoveries in the country to 48,637. 2 new deaths are reported over the last 24 hours, in total the pandemic has so far claimed the lives of 1,138 people in Kyrgyzstan. Currently, 3,479 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals throughout the country and 3,488 patients - at home.
