Kyrgyzstan reports 128 new COVID-19 cases, 43,587 in total

Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported on Friday 128 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total cases registered in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 43,587. Deputy Health Minister of the country Nurbolot Usenbaev said at a press briefing that out of the new cases 7 are medical workers, bringing the tally of contracted medical workers to 3,123. The total number of recoveries from COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan increased to 37,726 after 234 new ones were added. The official added that there are still 5554 active cases in the country, 810 are in hospitals and 4,744 patients are receiving treatment at home. The COVID-19 fatality rate in Kyrgyzstan stands at 1,058, as no new deaths have been registered in the last 24 hours.
