Kyrgyzstan records 244 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, May 4, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan recorded on Tuesday 224 new cases of COVID-19, raising the total in the country to 96,561, according to the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19. Among the new cases, 139 were detected in Bishkek, 63 in Chui Oblast and the rest are in other regions of the country. Meanwhile, 225 more recovered from the virus, bringing the overall recoveries to 90,146. The headquarters reported 8 new deaths, taking the death toll to 1,630. Currently, 1,503 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in hospitals, including 69 in intensive care units, another 2,295 patients are receiving treatment at home. 5,084 PCR tests were conducted in Kyrgyzstan in the 24 hours period.
