Kyrgyzstan presents its trade, investment and tourism potential in Lahore

Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2020. /Kabar/. Avari Hotel in Lahore hosted a business forum and roundtable conference entitled “Future of Pakistani-Kyrgyz Relations-Partnership for Investment, Trade and Tourism”, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. The events were organized by the Kyrgyz Embassy in Pakistan in cooperation with the Lahore Center for Peace Research (LCPR) as part of the anti-crisis measures of Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry to eliminate the impact of COVID-19 on the economy. The purpose of the business forum and the round table was to present the trade, investment and tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan in Pakistan, to create a platform for exchange of views, to discuss measures to encourage exporters of the two countries, as well as to discuss support from government institutions. During the forum, Ambassador Erik Beishembiyev made an extensive report on the current political situation and socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan, as well as emphasized the huge potential for cooperation between business communities of the two countries in various fields, including agriculture, textile and pharmaceutical industries. More than 70 guests from trade, pharmaceutical, textile and tourism companies, state bodies of Pakistan, international and non-governmental organizations, as well as experts from leading think tanks and media in Pakistan attended the events. The roundtable conference resulted in an agreement to hold a business forum with the participation of pharmaceutical, textile and travel companies in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek by the end of this year.
