Kyrgyzstan participates in International Film Festival of Turkic World

Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2021 / Kabar /. The Korkut Ata International Film Festival of the Turkic World has started in Istanbul, Turkey. Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Mehmet Nuri Ersoy noted at the opening of the festival, the Istanbul Film Festival will become a good platform for creating joint films, projects, the best films for the world arena. Deputy Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) Sultan Rayev said that the Istanbul Film Festival will give great motivation for creativity to representatives of the cinema of Turkic states. 42 films from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Hungary, Ukraine and others will take part in the Korkut Ata International Film Festival. The festival will include panels, discussions, a round table "Aitmatov and Cinema", as well as an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Kyrgyz cinema. The film "Shambala" by Artyk Suyundukov is presented in the competition program of the film festival from Kyrgyzstan. Famous masters of world cinema, representatives of the film industry are invited to the festival as guests of honor. The winners of the festival will be announced on Nov. 12.
