Kyrgyzstan officially joins COVID-19 Free Travel digital platform

Bishkek, April 26, 2021. / Kabar / . Since April 1, 2021 Kyrgyzstan officially joined the COVID-19 Free Travel digital platform, the press service of the republic’s Health Ministry reported. Kyrgyzstan is included in the list of countries whose citizens can enter the territory of the Russian Federation without requiring a reason for entry, provided they present negative COVID-19 test, displayed in the COVID-19 Free Travel mobile app. As of April 20, 2021 two state and four private laboratories of the country have connected to the platform and about 65 biomaterial collection points across Kyrgyzstan are functioning under the COVID-19 Free Travel project, this information system was used by 5,260 people. Currently, citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Russia and Kyrgyzstan can use the application. The COVID-19 Free Travel allows the user to find the nearest laboratory, where it is possible to pass the test for COVID-19, to get the result of the test on the screen of a smartphone in the QR-code. To enter Russia, Kyrgyz citizens need to present a negative PCR test through the COVID-19 Free Travel app.
