Kyrgyzstan marks National Flag Day

Bishkek, March 3, 2021 / Kabar /. A solemn event in honor of the 29th anniversary of the state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Bishkek today on the central Ala-Too square. According to the press service of the Bishkek Mayor's Office, the event was attended by Acting Mayor of the capital Baktybek Kudaibergenov, commander of the National Guard of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Talantbek Ergeshov, heads of district administrations, heads and employees of city services, structural divisions. The state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was approved by the Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan on March 3, 1992. It is a red cloth, in the center of which there is a golden solar disk, personifying the tunduk (roof) of a yurt, from which 40 golden rays emanate. As indicated in the technical specification approved by the decree of the government of the Kyrgyz Republic: the tunduk combined on the state flag with the sun disk symbolizes the unity of all peoples living in the mountainous country under the peace sign of a common House - the Kyrgyz Republic. The authors of the flag are Edil Aydarbekov, Bekbosun Zhaichybekov, Sabyr Iptarov, Zhusup Mataev, Mamatbek Sydykov.
