Kyrgyzstan included in list of priority partner countries of Korea since 2021

Bishkek, June 21, 2021. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Korea Dinara Kemelova held a meeting with President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Sohn Hyuk-sang, during which the progress of projects and promising areas of cooperation for the coming years was discussed. The Kyrgyz embassy to Korea said that the KOICA president said that since the beginning of this year, Kyrgyzstan has been included in the list of priority partner countries of the Republic of Korea and noted the importance of a multisectoral approach in the implementation of projects. Ambassador Kemelova expressed gratitude for the assistance of the Korean side aimed at the development of rural areas, agriculture, education, digitalization, fire safety, and other important socio-economic spheres, and asked for assistance in improving the automated electoral system of the Kyrgyz Republic, improving the irrigation infrastructure and providing access of the population to clean drinking water. The interlocutors exchanged views on building the capacity of human resources and infrastructure, and also noted the importance of promoting health projects against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, information technology, education and training of specialists. Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue dialogue and cooperation.
