Kyrgyzstan to host IT EXPO in March this year

Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2021. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan held an online meeting on the preparation and holding of the Connect.KG IT EXPO, scheduled for March 2021, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said. The meeting was held by Director of the Economic Diplomacy Department Ermek Omuraliyev together with the leadership of the State Committee for Information Technology and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic from the Kyrgyz side and representatives of the US Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic and diplomatic missions of the EU, Great Britain, Japan, South Korea and Germany. The main issue on the agenda was the upcoming IT EXPO to be held on March 11-19, 2021. The meeting participants expressed their willingness to hold the IT EXPO at the international level with the participation of leading IT companies from the United States, Britain, Japan, Korea, EU countries and other interested countries. It is also planned to involve interested business associations of Kyrgyzstan, organizations specializing in the training of software engineers, IT-specialists. The event is expected to provide an opportunity for IT/startup companies in Kyrgyzstan to establish cooperation with the world's leading companies to exchange experiences and business outsourcing. The EXPO will be held with the assistance of USAID and include speeches and presentations by leading Kyrgyzstani IT professionals working for cutting-edge U.S. and Kyrgyz companies, as well as B2B sections on IT in the following areas: - e-commerce, - business solutions, - financial technologies, - education, - tourism, - health and science, - electronic government, - new technologies, etc. It is expected that the event will make a significant contribution to the formation of the IT-industry in Kyrgyzstan as the IT-Hub of Central Asia, its entrance to the international market and the expansion of foreign economic relations.
