Kyrgyzstan, Great Britain discuss topical cooperation issues

Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2021. /Kabar/. Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Maksat Mamytkanov met on Friday with British Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Charles Garrett, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported. During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-British cooperation, including the rule of law, anti-corruption, freedom of speech, green economy, including participation in the upcoming 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties, to be held on Nov. 1-12, 2021 in Glasgow (Scotland). Maksat Mamytkanov noted the high organizational level of the recently held Jan.10 early presidential elections of the Kyrgyz Republic and the national referendum to determine the form of government, and informed about the upcoming important political events in the current year. The sides noted the importance of further intensification of Kyrgyz-British contacts at all levels and implementation of joint projects in various areas of bilateral cooperation. Print
