Kyrgyzstan exported about 14.7 tons of gold since beginning of year

Bishkek, Nov. 23, 2020. /Kabar/. Since the beginning of the year, Kyrgyzstan has exported 14 tons 604.5 kg of gold, Kabar Agency has learnt from the press service of the National Statistics Committee of the republic. This amount of gold was exported to Great Britain for USD 807.7 million, 4.5 kg to Turkey for the total amount of USD 42.7 thousand. In total, 19.5 tons of gold were produced in Kyrgyzstan in January-October 2020, and 1.7 tons of gold per month. There are currently about 255 gold deposits in Kyrgyzstan with total reserves of 2 thousand 149 tons. Most of the gold is mined at the Kumtor high-mountain mine, which is the 3rd largest gold mine among CIS countries and the 22nd largest in the world.
