Kyrgyzstan confirms 68 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, Sept. 8, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan on Monday reported 44,526 COVID-19 after 68 new cases of infection were detected in the previous day. Head of the public health care department of the Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova told at a news briefing that out of the new cases 1 is medical worker, raising the tally of contracted medical workers to 3,158. 198 patients have recovered over the past day from the virus, in total 40,158 have recovered so far. Currently, 551 COVID-19 patients are still in hospitals throughout the country and 2,627 patients are receiving treatment at home. One new virus related death has been registered over the past day, bringing the COVID-19 fatality rate in Kyrgyzstan to 1,062.
