Kyrgyzstan building up position in trade in national currency with Kazakhstan – EFSR

Among countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Kyrgyzstan is quite good at building up its positions in trade in the national currency with Kazakhstan, Natalia Lavrova, the head of the Macroeconomic Analysis and Statistics Department of the Project Unit of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) said during an online presentation. According to her, it was possible to bring trade with Kazakhstan from 1% to 2%. "Of course, further success will depend on the development of trade, activity. In terms of trade development with third countries, the level of currency diversification will be an important point," she said. Natalia Lavrova said the share of som (Kyrgyzstan’s national currency) in trade with Russia is also 2%.
