Kyrgyzstan and India agree to expand cooperation

Bishkek, March 25, 2021. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to India Asein Isaev held a meeting with Minister of Textile Industry, Women and Children of India Smriti Zubin Irani.
According to the Kyrgyz Embassy in India, during the meeting, the sides noted the high level of strategic partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and India, and also outlined the need to strengthen cooperation in the development of women's entrepreneurship and textile business.
The minister supported the proposal of the Kyrgyz side and noted that, given India's great respect for the Kyrgyz Republic, it is possible to expand cooperation between the two countries through the prism of existing programs on women's entrepreneurship, the report said.
Following the meeting, the sides came to an agreement:
- consider exchange programs in the textile industry for Kyrgyz artisans;
- to develop cooperation between the two countries on the preparation at the state level of effective programs to support women's entrepreneurship, such as "Mudra Yojana", which provides for loans to micro-enterprises or organizations;
- to envisage exchange programs for schoolchildren to get acquainted with the values, traditions and culture of the two countries;
- exchange of experience and skills in handicraft production and applied arts.
