Kyrgyzstan adds 668 new COVID-19 cases, 18 more deaths

Bishkek, July 29, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan confirmed Wednesday 668 new cases of coronavirus infection, including community-acquired pneumonia, raising the total number of infections to 34,512. During a daily news briefing at the Government House, Head of the Public Health Department of the republic’s Health Ministry Ainuar Akmatova said that 98 cases out of total number are laboratory confirmed COVID-19, 570 are clinically confirmed cases of COVID-19 or community-acquired pneumonia. Among the new cases detected, 20 are medical workers’ contamination, total now at 2,711, including 1,595 recoveries. The Health Ministry’s representative also said 1,047 more patients throughout Kyrgyzstan have recovered from coronavirus, thus nationwide recoveries have climbed to 23,343 since the outbreak of the virus. As of July 29, the republic’s death toll from COVID-19 has reached 1,347 after 18 more fatalities were registered in the past day. Meanwhile, 9,866 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals and inpatient centers.
