Kyrgyzstan adds 658 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, Aug. 6, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan added on Friday 658 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total tally to 167,734. The Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 said that 7,147 coronavirus tests were carried out over the past day. The headquarters also reported the recovery of 1,532 more patients and 8 new deaths, raising the total recoveries in the country to 153,934 and bringing the nationwide death toll to 2,380. As of Friday, 3,173 patients with coronavirus are receiving treatment in hospitals throughout the country and 6,874 patients are being treated at home. Kyrgyzstan has started COVID-19 vaccine jabs on March 29 after receiving Chinese donated vaccine. In, addition the Central Asia country received Sputnik V vaccine from Russia in April and Astra Zeneca in July. A total of 517,040 people have been vaccinated in Kyrgyzstan so far.
