Kyrgyzstan’s COVID-19 cases near 45,000

Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan’s COVID-19 cases reached on Tuesday 44,999 after 71 new cases of infection were detected in the previous day.
Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sabirzhan Abdikarimov told at a news briefing that in general, in recent weeks, there has been a stable decrease in the number of infected people, 560 new cases of infection were registered during 25 weeks, and 470 cases – in 26 weeks.
He also added that 80 patients have recovered over the past day from the virus, raising the total recoveries to 41,103.
The minister said that there are 2902 active cases in the country, 502 of them are still in hospitals throughout the country and 1,890 patients are receiving treatment at home.
The death toll in the country stands at 1,063, no death was reported from the virus in the previous 24 hours.
Minister Adbikarimov said that in total 337073 PCR tests were carried out in Kyrgyzstan since pandemic.
