Kyrgyz, Uzbek capitals to sign Action Plan to implement cooperation agreement

Bishkek, Sept. 23, 2020. /Kabar/. Bishkek and Tashkent will sign an action plan to implement the agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. It became known at a meeting of Bishkek Mayor Aziz Surakhmatov with Uzbek Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Khurshid Mirzakhidov. The sides expressed interest in trade and economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation and strengthening relations between the capitals of the two neighboring countries, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported. Mayor Surakmatov congratulated the Uzbek ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation. On Sept. 4, 1993, an agreement on cooperation between the Bishkek administration and the Khokimiyat of Bukhara city and an agreement on economic and cultural cooperation between Bishkek and Samarkand Region were signed. In 1996 and 2017, the Bishkek Mayor's Office and the Tashkent Khokimiyat signed agreements on cooperation in economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian fields.
