Kyrgyz PM, Turkish FM debate bilateral co-op

Bishkek, March 11, 2021. / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who has arrived in the republic for an official visit.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported that during the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, particularly in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Prime Minister Maripov noted the high level of Kyrgyz-Turkish diplomatic relations, which this year celebrate 30 years.
"The Kyrgyz Republic attaches great importance to Kyrgyz-Turkish relations and their development, as this is one of the priorities in the country's foreign policy. The Turkish side supports us on an ongoing basis. We should contribute to further strengthening friendship and strategic partnership between the two republics.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Turkish side for its assistance in the fight against coronavirus infection and for the construction of the Bishkek hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish friendship, which will soon open," the head of government said.
In turn, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that bilateral relations between the two countries are at a fairly high level. He added Turkey is interested in developing bilateral relations, in particular, in enhancing trade and economic cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to further strengthen brotherly relations.
