Kyrgyz PM Boronov meets with Vice Prime Minister of Russia Overchuk

Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2020 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov held a meeting with Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk, who arrived in the country for a working visit, the government’s press service said. “Today the Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation is at the highest level. The Russian Federation is one of our main trade partners and ranks second in terms of trade,” the Kyrgyz prime minister said. The head of government noted the importance of using the experience of the Russian Federation in the development of certain sectors of the economy. “For the Kyrgyz Republic, one of the main measures to combat corruption is digitalization, including the fiscalization of the tax system. Today we are implementing many programs to improve this system. I would like to express my gratitude to the Russian side for the positive decision to provide gratuitous technical assistance to the republic to improve the domestic tax administration system, create labeling and traceability of goods,” Kubatbek Boronov said. In his speech, the prime minister also expressed gratitude to the Russian side for the humanitarian and practical assistance provided to overcome the peak of coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed the hope that the ministries of health of the two countries will continue to interact on many issues in the field of health. In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk thanked for the warm welcome and organization of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Russian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation in Bishkek at a high level. He noted the readiness of the Russian side to provide all-round support in providing technical assistance in order to improve tax administration, create labeling and traceability of goods in the Kyrgyz Republic. Alexey Overchuk noted that the Kyrgyz Republic is a reliable partner and friend of the Russian Federation. During the meeting, a number of topical issues of mutually beneficial interest were discussed.
