Kyrgyz-Korean cooperation in agricultural development will be strengthened: ministry

Bishkek, Nov. 3, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation Tilek Toktogaziyev held meeting with Director of Center of Korean Program for International Development in Agricultural Technology (KOPIA) in Kyrgyzstan Lee Sang-Duk. According to the press service of the Agriculture Ministry, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the development of cooperation between the parties to promote joint Kyrgyz-Korean projects and activities of the KOPIA Center in the field of agriculture. During the meeting, Minister Toktogaziyev stressed organic agricultural production, processing of agricultural products, seed production, etc. as priority areas of cooperation. In his turn, Mr. Lee Sang-Duk expressed his consent on the necessity of cooperation in these areas. He also noted the wide scientific possibilities of KOPIA Center for the development of bilateral agricultural projects and exchange programs for specialists. At the end of the meeting, the sides noted the importance of developing further bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture.
