Kyrgyz FM Kazakbayev holds meeting with Culture Minister of Tajikistan Zulfiya Davlatzoda

Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev met with Culture Minister of Tajikistan Zulfiya Davlatzoda. The meeting was held as part of Kazakbayev’s working visit to Tajikistan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said on Friday. Minister Kazakbayev noted Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are linked by bounds of friendship, historical and cultural community of the peoples, which are the fundamental basis of relations in all spheres of interaction. The parties expressed mutual agreement on the need to strengthen trust between the two brotherly peoples, especially in the border area. The necessity to resume the practice of regular cultural events, mutual participation in concerts and festivals held in the border areas was stressed. Taking into account celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan next year, the Kyrgyz minister proposed to hold a number of large-scale cultural events, dedicated to this anniversary date with an emphasis on the border regions and districts. The interlocutors agreed that the theatrical collectives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan play a big role in learning about the culture of both countries. Regular festivals, in which the creative teams of both countries take part, undoubtedly contribute to the rapprochement of peoples and strengthening of cultural ties. The sides expressed hope that cultural and humanitarian ties will return to the former direction and will expand with improvement of epidemiological situation.
