Kyrgyz festival held in Japan to explore Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2021 / Kabar /. As part of the work carried out by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Japan to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and sports, a Kyrgyz festival was held in the city of Hamura, Tokyo Prefecture aimed at familiarizing with Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said that the festival was organized by the Hamura Mayor's Office. The city of Hamura is the host city for athletes from Kyrgyzstan in judo in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics. In connection with the announcement of the state of emergency in Tokyo, the festival was held without the participation of spectators in the video recording format, the report said. Mayor of Hamura Shin Namiki, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan Mirlan Arstanbaev, as well as Japanese singer and volunteer ambassador of friendship and goodwill of the city of Hamura and Kyrgyzstan Mita Re made welcoming remarks. Also, within the framework of the festival, the performance of the Kyrgyz performer Kalyiman Umetbaeva and Japanese komuz players of the Tokyo Institute of Art took place. At the same time, within the framework of the event, a presentation was made about Kyrgyz products, culture, tourism, and a photo exhibition of landscapes of Kyrgyzstan and national clothes and souvenirs was organized, the ministry said.
