Kyrgyz Culture Minister stresses importance of bilateral co-op with Russia in culture and art

Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2020 / Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Zhamankulov participating in a meeting of the working group on culture of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Russian commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation. The press service of the ministry reported that the meeting was held in Kazan with the participation of President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Speaking at the meeting, Zhamankulov noted the importance of bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and art, and proposed to discuss further prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation between individual cultural institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, the report said. In addition, the minister added that further cooperation in the field of culture between the two states will give a great impetus to interaction in strategically important areas in the political, trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian terms. “There are still many bilateral events ahead, which will be held under the auspices of the Cross Year, and we are confident that the results will bring great benefits within the framework of the strategic partnership,” he said. Zhamankulov also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, as well as the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan for such a warm welcome, as well as for the high level of organization of the meeting.
