Kyrgyz ambassador calls on Chinese investors to launch joint projects in agriculture

Bishkek, Oct. 27, 2020 / Kabar /. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the People's Republic of China (PRC) Kanayim Baktygulova made a speech at the high-level forum on the topic "Strengthening international agricultural cooperation for the development of modern agriculture." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that in her speech, the ambassador emphasized that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to improve the existing preferential policy for the development of agriculture in the regions of the country. “Chinese investors need to take advantage of these favorable conditions created by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to launch joint Kyrgyz-Chinese projects in the field of agriculture and promote the export of ecologically clean agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to China,” she said. In addition, Baktygulova also took part in the 27th Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Achievements Exhibition. “At the Yangling Exhibition, which will last until Oct. 26, 2020, Chinese and foreign achievements of new high technologies in agriculture, as well as samples of agricultural products from China and foreign countries were presented. The pavilion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was organized at the exhibition, where agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan were also presented,” the report said. In addition, the Foreign Ministry said that on the same day the Kyrgyz ambassador met with governor of Shaanxi Province Zhao Yide, during which the sides discussed issues of interregional cooperation, the implementation of joint projects, humanitarian exchange, as well as the establishment of twinning relations between the regions of the two countries. Baktygulova also held meetings with the leadership of the "smart" agricultural exemplary park, a fig plantation, as well as the Shaanxi Automobile Corporation "Fast Group" and the Shaanxi Construction Engineering Corporation.
