Interaction between Financial Intelligence and OSCE Program Office reaches new level

Bishkek, June 9, 2021. / Kabar /. Chairman of the State Financial Intelligence Service under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Kanat Turgunbekov and Deputy Head of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek Rasmi Kazimova held a meeting on June 8, 2021. During the meeting, the chairman of the State Financial Intelligence Service expressed gratitude to the OSCE for many years of support in strengthening the national system for combating the financing of terrorism and legalization of criminal assets. Deputy Head of the OSCE Program Office Kazimova, congratulating Turgunbekov on his appointment, highly appreciated the level of professionalism of the department's staff and expressed readiness to further provide technical assistance in building the capacity of state bodies of the republic to counter the financing of terrorism and money laundering. Following the meeting, the sides signed a Cooperation Plan between the State Financial Intelligence Service and the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek until the end of 2021. In conclusion, the sides noted that most of the activities will be accompanied by advanced training of employees of the competent authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
