Increasing air traffic between Kyrgyzstan and Russia is constantly discussed: Mamytkanov

Bishkek, Nov. 19, 2020. /Kabar/. The issue of increasing air traffic between Kyrgyzstan and Russia is constantly being discussed, Head of the Headquarters for Organization of Early Presidential Elections, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Maksat Mamytkanov said during a press conference. He said the government delegation had recently been in Russia to discuss the issue. "But Russia is facing surge in coronavirus cases,” noted Mamytkanov, adding that this issue is under consideration. Kyrgyzstan canceled all international and domestic flights since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March and resumed domestic flights on June 5. Air traffic with Russia was resumed on Sept. 21, 2020. The country also resumed air services with Turkey and the United Arab Emirates from Aug. 7, and with Kuwait from Sept.10. Besides, Kyrgyzstan resumed regular flights with Kazakhstan from Sept. 20.
