Hungary hands over mobile water purification system for Kyrgyz army’s needs

Bishkek, April 8, 2021 . / Kabar / . An official handover ceremony of Type 2 mobile water purification system for a military field hospital from Hungary to the Kyrgyz Armed Forces was held Thursday near Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Defense Taalaibek Omuraliyev and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó took part in the ceremony. "Kyrgyzstan's Defense Ministry, in cooperation with foreign partners, is constantly working on the issue of participation of a national military contingent in UN peacekeeping missions, including a military field hospital. In the light of the gradual expansion of Kyrgyz-Hungarian relations, as well as taking into account the rich peacekeeping experience of the Hungarian Armed Forces, military cooperation may become a new and promising area of interaction between our countries," Omuraliyev said in his speech. Donation of the mobile water purification system was carried out as part of the implementation of a set of measures to expand Kyrgyz-Hungarian political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian Kyrgyz-Hungarian cooperation. Earlier, on Nov. 20, 2020, the Hungarian Water Technology Corporation Ltd carried out the delivery of the mentioned equipment by railway transport.
