Health Ministry launches Med Safety mobile application

Bishkek, Nov. 24, 2020 / Kabar /. Within the framework of the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week, the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan presented the Med Safety mobile application as an international instrument for ensuring the safety of drugs. This mobile application was adapted into Kyrgyz and Russian by the Department of Medicines and Medical Devices under the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic with technical support from WHO and the Agency for the Control of Medicines and Medical Devices in the UK, according to the press service of the WHO. The mobile application is already actively used in many countries, and as practice has shown, doctors, patients, medical representatives and pharmacy employees are extremely interested in such a service and are ready for its daily use. This information transfer format is more efficient and less time consuming. Implementation of the Med Safety mobile application, designed for patients, healthcare professionals and medical workers, to provide information on adverse drug side effects to the Drug Enforcement Administration and track information regarding drug safety. In this regard, the mobile application is a convenient alternative to the old paper form, which is easy to use for reporting adverse drug side effects and tracking information regarding their safety. The mobile application is very easy to use, everyone can download it to their mobile phone and send messages for free. The application is available on AppStore and Google Play Market in Kyrgyz and Russian languages.
