Heads of border regions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan hold bilateral meeting

Osh, Nov. 10, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyshtut rural district of Batken Oblast of Kyrgyzstan hosted a meeting between representatives of law enforcement agencies headed by Batken region head Uchkunbek Zhorobayev (Kyrgyzstan) and head of Tajikistan’s Sokh district Saidmusayev. In the course of the meeting, the sides agreed to maintain a stable socio-political situation in border areas, prevent conflicts and crime prevention in border areas, strengthening of unity between the people, strengthening of relations, improvement of trade and economic relations and many other topics. The sides also agreed that only appropriate authorities should work to resolve certain border conflicts and conduct outreach to avoid confusion with the local population. The meeting proceeded in a constructive spirit and the objectives were achieved.
