Events within Cross Year between Kyrgyzstan, Russia are held online - Kyrgyz culture minister

Bishkek, Aug. 12, 2020. /Kabar/. Events within the Cross Year between Kyrgyzstan and Russia are taking place online, Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Azamat Jamankulov said during a briefing Wednesday. According to him, due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, planned exhibitions, productions and other cultural events are held remotely. "Cultural workers have jointly prepared cultural products that are now distributed on social networks," the minister added. 2020 has been declared the Cross Year of Russia in Kyrgyzstan and Kyrgyzstan in Russia. On Feb. 27 this year, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov took part in its opening at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow. Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Russian leader Vladimir Putin delivered a speech at the gala concert. During the Cross Year, concerts, performances, exhibitions and festivals with the participation of honored artists of Russia and Kyrgyzstan was due to be held at the largest cultural venues of the two countries.
