EEC Council convenes its final meeting in 2020

Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov took part in the final meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEU) in 2020 in the format of a video conference, the press service of the Government said on Thursday. During the meeting, at which 12 issues were considered, the Order of interaction between the authorized bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states and the EEC on application of norms of the Agreement on provision of pensions for workers of the EAEU member states was approved. The document will allow to regulate the interaction between the authorized bodies on the appointment and payment of pensions to workers and regulate the mechanism of export of pensions in the EAEU countries. The participants of the virtual meeting discussed the issue of extension of the transitional period for registration of medicines under the national procedure. A number of decisions on technical regulations in the EAEU were adopted at the meeting of the EEC Council. Council members set a date for the next meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission on Jan. 29, 2021, and also adopted a number of other documents aimed at further developing the integration of the EAEU. The final meeting noted the positive dynamics of Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission for 2020. Chairmanship of EAEU bodies in 2021 will be transferred to Kazakhstan. The sides agreed to sign all concerted acts adopted by the Council in 2020 by the end of this year.
