Day of Family, Peace and Concord celebrated in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Sept. 24, Kyrgyzstan celebrates the Day of Family, Peace and Concord. This date was established in 2011 by the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament), the press service of the republic’s State Registration Service reported Thursday. "The State Registration Service of the Kyrgyz Republic is directly related to this holiday, as the main actions of registration: marriage, childbirth and others are made in the bodies of registration of acts of civil status,” the report says. According to the agency, from Jan. 1 to Sept. 23, 2020, 25 thousand 664 marriages were registered in Kyrgyzstan, of which 1 thousand 194 - with citizens of the CIS and 39 - with citizens of foreign countries. 33 thousand 929 couples registered marriage for the similar period of 2019. "Today, Sept. 24, on Family Day 15 married couples are registered in the main palace of marriage in Bishkek," the report says. Since the beginning of the year, 113 thousand 922 newborns have been registered in Kyrgyzstan.
