Constitutional referendum held in accordance with international standards - CIS mission

Constitutional referendum of Kyrgyzstan, which took place on April 11, was described as complying with national legislation and international standards and obligations of the Kyrgyz Republic in the electoral sphere, head of the mission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, Farid Mukhametshin told at a press conference. He said that the organizers had taken all the necessary measures to prepare for the referendum, as well as to comply with epidemiological standards. “Public order was ensured, the campaign went smoothly, which helped the people express their will. Opportunities were created for the media to cover the referendum, and conditions for work were created for international observers,” he said.
