CIS mission: Elections in Kyrgyzstan were transparent, except for few minor irregularities

Bishkek, Jan. 11, 2021. /Kabar/. Significant efforts were applied in Kyrgyzstan to conduct an open election process, Head of the CIS mission Vitaly Volkov said at a press conference on Monday.
According to him, everything was done to conduct an equal and direct electoral process, while respecting the secrecy of the vote.
"Every citizen had enough opportunities for free choice,” the head of the CIS mission said.
Vitaly Volkov also noted that after visiting 627 PCEs and polling stations they were satisfied and gave high assessment of the preparation to the elections.
"In general, the elections were open and transparent, except for a few minor irregularities," he pointed out.
Besides, Volkov added members of the mission and independent observers analyzed the election process and concluded that the level of conduct met international standards.
