Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan and Secretary General of CSTO sum up results of common activities for 2020

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Major General Taalaibek Omuraliev held a meeting with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas. The press service of the General Staff of Kyrgyzstan said that during the meeting, the sides summed up the results of common activities for 2020 and noted that, despite the cancellation of many joint practical events last year due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the world, the permanent bodies of the CSTO have done a lot of work on the development of conceptual documents and improving the legal framework of the organization. Through joint efforts, the capabilities and potential of the CSTO Crisis Response Center and the degree of its interaction with the national crisis response centers of the CSTO member states were tested, the report said. The major general noted in his speech that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic is fully ready to work on building an effective system of collective security and ensuring stability in the area of ​​responsibility of the organization. In turn, Zas indicated that he arrived in Bishkek to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on January 28, 2020.
