Cabinet chairman of Kyrgyzstan and rector of Kazan Federal University discuss cooperation

Bishkek, June 11, 2021. / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov met with rector of Kazan Federal University (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation) Ilshat Gafurov. During the meeting, the issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of education and science between Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan were discussed, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported. The sides discussed the possibility of opening a branch of Kazan Federal University on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed interest in the implementation of this issue. “Kyrgyz-Tatarstan cooperation in the field of education and science has all the prerequisites for further development. I am convinced that the arrival of one of the leading educational institutions not only of the Republic of Tatarstan, but of the entire Russian Federation in the educational sector of our republic will give a positive impetus to the development of the local higher education system. We highly appreciate the long-term, consistent and fruitful cooperation in the field of education and science with the Russian Federation, including the Republic of Tatarstan,” said Ulukbek Maripov. The sides expressed their readiness to intensify cooperation in the dissemination of the latest educational technologies, the formation and implementation of new standards that determine the quality of training of specialists between the relevant higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazan Federal University. Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov expressed hope that the planned opening of a branch of the university will strengthen and continue the development of Kyrgyz-Tatarstan cooperation in the field of education and science.
