Business community in Turkey’s Hatay informed on prospects for doing business in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, April 6, 2021 . / Kabar / . Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliyev held on Saturday a meeting with representatives of business circles at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hatay. The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting was held as part of the ambassador’s working visit to Turkey’s Hatay Province. At the meeting, the Kyrgyz ambassador made a presentation on the investment climate and opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic, conditions for doing business: liberal taxes, costs of doing business, etc., macroeconomic indicators and foreign trade turnover of the republic. Omuraliyev invited the businessmen to visit Kyrgyzstan and answered their questions. The meeting was attended by deputies of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey from Hatay Province. Also, separate meetings were held with businessmen from Hatay Chamber of Commerce, wishing to open joint ventures in the Kyrgyz Republic and possibly invest in the economy of the country. Following the meeting, the businessmen expressed their desire to visit Kyrgyzstan in this June this year. The visit also included a tour to the EXPO 2021 Hatay exhibition grounds in the municipalities of Antakya and Iskenderun, Hatay. Hatay, also called Antakya, is a town in the central district (Antakya) of Hatay Province, Turkey. Küçükdalyan is situated to the east of Asi River (Orontes of the antiquity) and it is almost merged to Antakya. The population of Küçükdalyan was 10354 as of 2019. A part of the town is actually founded in ancient Antiocheia (Antioch) and is officially declared SIT area (Archaeological site). World-famous Church of St Peter is in the municipality of Küçükdalyan. Küçükdalyan was declared as a seat of township in 1994. Major crops of the town are olive, vegetables and fruits.
