All candidates for parliamentary elections were given equal rights: int’l observer

All political parties in Kyrgyzstan were given equal rights in the elections, Head of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) observer mission Viktor Guminsky told during a briefing. "Our mission carries out its mission a couple of days before the elections, and our observers note that all candidates were given equal rights. All parties had equal conditions of access to mass media, Internet publications, etc., and citizens were given an opportunity to receive information about parties, candidates, party programs. Everything points to the high organized work of the Central Elections Commission,” Guminsky said. The observer also noted that the organization of the elections was so qualitative that, given such a difficult epidemiological situation, during the campaign period the political parties did not hold door-to-door, rallies, meetings and other major events. Time was given for individual speeches by party representatives. Yesterday, Oct. 4 a parliamentary elections were held in Kyrgyzstan. Turnout made 1 million 980 thousand 240 voters, that is 56,2%. According to preliminary estimates of the country’s Central Elections Commission, 4 parties have overcome the 7% barrier - Birimdik - 24.53%; Mekenim Kyrgyzstan - 23.9%; Kyrgyzstan- 8.74%; Butun Kyrgyzstan – 7,09 %. Kyrgyzstan’s CEC will announce the final results of the parliamentary elections no later than 20 days from the day of voting.
