4th World Nomad Games in Turkey postponed to 2022

Bishkek, April 9, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held on Friday a meeting with World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC) President Bilal Erdogan.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry’s press service reported that the meeting discussed the ways of development of the World Nomad Games in the nearest future, as well as events planned within the framework of this initiative.
Ruslan Kazakbaev highly appreciated Bilal Erdogan's intense multifaceted activities to strengthen brotherhood and unity among the Turkic-speaking states.
Erdogan informed about the measures taken by the World Confederation of Ethnosport and the Republic of Turkey to prepare for the IV World Nomadic Games in 2022 in Iznik, Turkey.
Taking into consideration the positive influence of the World Nomad Games on the national unity of the Kyrgyz people, Minister Kazakbaev emphasized the expediency of the practice of one-time transfer of the Games to other countries, which involves the return of the Games to the home country - Kyrgyzstan every 4-5 years. In this regard, the minister advocated holding the 5th World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan in 2024.
Bilal Erdogan also reported on the World Ethnosport Confederation’s readiness to allocate an annual scholarship for the training of Kyrgyz citizens in master's and doctoral programs in the field of development of sports and physical culture.
Besides, he expressed readiness willingness to hold an annual festival of nomads in Cholpon-Ata under the auspices of the Confederation.
