196 new COVID-19 cases reported in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Aug. 21, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported 196 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, taking the tally of infections to 42,703. Nurbolot Usenbaev, the Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan said at online news briefing that of the new cases 14 are medical workers. The total number of contracted medical workers in the country makes 3,073, including 2,383 recoveries. 345 COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals over the past day, bringing the total recoveries to 35,831. Meanwhile one more virus-related death recorded in the previous 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1,055.
