11th meeting of heads of WTO Regional Training Centres of European Region opened in Bishkek

Bishkek, Oct. 13, 2021 . / Kabar / . Bishkek hosted on Tuesday an official opening of the 11th meeting of heads of Regional Training Centres of the World Customs Organization (WCO) European region on "Annual Achievements and Prospects for 2021".
The press service of the Kyrgyz Customs Service reported that the meeting was opened on the basis of the Regional Training Center Bishkek (RTC Bishkek).
The event was attended by Chairman of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Kyrgyzstan Samat Isabekov, Director of WHO Capacity Building Directorate Taeil Kang, Director of the Regional Office for Capacity Building Esser Chengel and representatives of Regional Training Centres in the WCO European Region, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries.
During his speech, Chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s Customs Service Samat Isabekov noted that this large-scale event is held at the WCO Regional Training Centre in Kyrgyzstan for the first time.
He emphasized that, as part of the further development and full implementation of the main mission of the WCO RTC in Kyrgyzstan, active cooperation with the World Customs Organization on capacity-building, and with other Regional Training Centres in the WCO European Region, is underway.
The 11th meeting of heads of Regional Training Centres will be held until Oct. 15. The main goals and objectives of the event are to exchange experiences between WCO RTCs, improve coordination between RTCs and the WCO Secretariat, and improve effective methods and tools for capacity-building of customs officers.
